Cashiers Designer Showhouse
Last month, the Gregg Irby Gallery team headed up to Cashiers, NC, where multiple artists from our Atlanta art gallery had their original paintings on view at the Cashiers Designer Showhouse.
After a quick drive up to the mountains, we arrived at the showhouse, which benefits the Cashiers Historical Society and showcases the talents of interior designers from across the Southeast. Sarah Ella Cole’s paintings were placed above the fireplace in the main living area by Sarah Kowalski of J. Banks Design, and in the primary suite by Courtney Moss Design. Both were light-filled spaces where Sarah Ella’s modern, earthy paintings felt perfectly at home.
Yancey Seibert Shearouse Interior Design, based in Augusta, GA, featured four Gregg Irby Gallery artists in her stunning guest bedroom: EMYO, Elaine Burge, Emily Keating Snyder, and Welsh artist Andrea Curtis. Each of these contemporary artworks embraced a colorful, mixed-media approach that contributed to a sophisticated, fresh take on traditional design.
It really goes to show that good art fills a space, but great art transforms it.
